Alan Maglio (Milan, 1979) is an artist, photographer and film director. His photographic work is directly linked to research on the unconscious and takes shape on film through the lenses of his Rolleiflex. His research – presented in national and international exhibitions – includes the reinterpretation of archival materials, using medias such as analog collage and video. He directed “Milano Centrale Stories from the Train Station” (2007) and “Asmarina” (2015), two films about cultural identity of African communities in Italy. He is the author of “Ultima Edizione – Storie nere dagli archivi de La Notte” (Milieu Ed. 2019), a work that brought to light the photographic materials of the historical Italian crime newspaper.
