I was whole and did not understand comes from the need to shape and to try to define parenthood experience. My wife Chiara was adopted and she was only seven days old when she arrived at her parent’s home. She never saw or knew anything about her biological parents. Motherhood for her was like closing a circle. When Zeno came in our lives then, in that moment when we found ourselves somehow “split”; Chiara felt herself, for the very first time, truly “whole”.
