Giacomo d’Orlando (1990) is a self-taught documentary photographer born in Verona, Italy. He moved his first steps in the photography industry in 2011, working as advertising photographer in a renowned studio in his born town before to undertake the photojournalism career four years after. From 2015 to 2017 he moved in Nepal, in the first instance, and later in Peru collaborating with different NGO and covering social issues such as the plague of violence on women and the deep inequalities in the society. From 2018 to 2020 he lived in Australia and then in New Zealand working on environmental issues related to climate change. His works has been published by The Washington Post, Der Spiegel, Geo France, Mare Magazin, D-La Repubblica, Vice, VSD among the others. Today’s d’Orlando commitment is focus on environmental studies related to how climate change is shaping our planet and how mankind is reacting to these increasing challenges which are affecting our life.
