Guido Gazzilli was born in Rome in 1983. In 2006 he graduated from the IED in Rome in “Visual Arts”. Since 2007 he has been photographing youth subcultures and portraying artists from the music scene in Italy and abroad. He subsequently realizes stories of people, through anthropological, social and territorial research. He realized fashion advertising and editorial campaigns in Italy and abroad. He exhibits his works in galleries and museums in Italy and abroad. His work is published in important magazines of current affairs, sport, culture, fashion, reportage, music and portraiture. He receives awards and prizes and participates in artist residencies and international photography festivals. He worked as an assistant for Magnum photographer Paolo Pellegrin ( 2010-2013). He is currently working on personal projects and commissioned projects. He has curated exhibitions and projects collaborating with some of the greatest authors of contemporary photography. He taught photography at the REA Academy of Visual Arts (2013-2016). He lives and works in Rome and is represented by the Contrasto agency.
