“My name is Lorenzo Zoppolato. I was born in Udine, in March 1990. At the age of 19, I decided to move to Milan to study at university and at the same time I started to work as assistant photographer. After graduating, I worked in a well-known multinational company that operates in the advertising field following the media planning of international clients. Then, in 2014, I decided to deal exclusively with photography, turning it into a full-time profession. During the same year, I obtained a scholarship for the second level master in Photography and Visual design at the New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and I started to work as a professional photographer. In the following years, beside the many mistakes and defeats, I also received some recognitions. 2015: I won the first prize in the “Black + White photographer of the year” international award in the “Emerging Talent” category. 2017: I won the “Ernesto Bazan Scholarship Fund for Young Photographers”. 2018: I was finalist in the international competition “Italian street PhotoFestival” and won the first prize at the event “Fiaf Portfolio Italia 2018 – Grand Prix Lumux” 2019: I won the first prize as best portfolio at the “International Month of Photojournalism” of Padua and was a finalist at the “Voglino Italy Photo Award”. 2020: I won the first prize in the category “Storytelling Award” of the Italian Street PhotoFestival. During those years, I took part in both personal and collective exhibitions, in private or public venues. Among those, I recall SpazioForma in Milan and MACRO Museum in Roma.”
