Simone Mizzotti was born in Crema in 1983. He studied at L.A.B.A, Brescia Academy of Fine Arts. In the same years he deepens the study of Italian photographers of recent decades, dedicating himself to a personal investigation of the Italian landscape. He attended the advanced training master on contemporary image Fondazione Fotografia di Modena. In the summer of 2012 he participated for two months in the Artist in Residence program at the Centro de la Imagen, Lima Peru. He participates in various artist residencies in Italy, developing his interest in the territory and the landscape (Confotografia, Mountain Photo Festival, MenoTrentuno young photographers in Sardinia and PAS_ Atelier Sardinia Project). From December 2013 to April 2014 he was visiting professor at Ningbo Polytechnic in Beilun, Zhejiang China teaching photographic technique and design. Receives the honorable mention at the 2014 Graziadei prize for the Ningbo Polytechnic project during the 13th edition of the Rome Photography Festival. In recent years he has begin various didactic activities aimed at bringing the public closer to the observation of the contemporary landscape, through a gaze and a documentary language.
